The Education Committee oversees Leadership Allegany Rising, a seven-month program for high school juniors designed to educate future leaders by helping to identify regional issues and gain a deeper understanding of the leadership structure within and beyond Mountain Maryland. The program was introduced in 2017, and is modeled after the Chamber’s very successful Leadership Allegany program for community business leaders.

In a forum of open discussion and interaction, class members gain the knowledge and motivation to affect positive changes within the region.
