The Allegany County Chamber of Commerce Education Committee will offer roundtable discussions for students enrolled in field specific programs through ACPS.

Our goal is to present hiring projections, salary and benefit examples, experience and educational requirements, as well as specific and essential skillsets to students in their chosen track, and to advisory and guidance professionals. The intended outcome is that we provide a true outlook for these students of what jobs are currently, and potentially will be available to them when they graduate and complete any necessary secondary education and training.

We will survey local companies, use collected information and select some of the top needs to be part of our panel discussions while creating a digital guide containing some of the information we collected. This forum is meant to provide a realistic view of the opportunities that exist in Western Maryland within specific industries, and ultimately to keep them here!
