Class of 2026 Schedule
The Education Committee oversees Leadership Allegany Rising, a seven-month program for high school juniors designed to educate future leaders by helping to identify community issues and gain a deeper understanding of the leadership structure within and beyond Mountain Maryland. The program was introduced in 2017, and is modeled after the Chamber’s very successful Leadership Allegany program for community business leaders.
Through the exploration of healthcare, social services, local government, business, economic development, entrepreneurship, and higher education, class members gain knowledge and perspective of the community and become a network of future leaders.
Leadership Allegany Rising recruits participants for this free program annually beginning in May for the next school year. Incoming high school juniors interested in participating should contact their school counselors. For additional information, parents should contact the Chamber at 301-722-2820 or info@alleganycountychamber.com.
